Community Center

Fundraising began in June of 2007 for a project that would renovate the unused second floor 215 S. Walnut Street, home of Doc's Music Hall in the heart of downtown Muncie, and transform it into a multipurpose artists community center. Once this project is complete, we plan for this center to offer...

  • An Arts, Music, Theater, and Educational Venue
This space will include a sound system and adequate gallery space for a monthly rotation of local artists. An open area would double as an area for music and theater performance and as a space in which to hold lectures and workshops on a variety of topics.
  • Art Studios
Low-cost or free access to studio space equipped for metalworking, sculpture, painting, photography, and photo developing will be provided to members.
  • A Recording Studio
The Full Circle Community Center will offer high-quality, low-cost recording services for local artists.
  • An Artist Dormitory
The center will provide low-cost collective living for local artists and community workers who are interesting in supporting Full Circle in its work. The income generated from leasing the artist dorms will fund the upkeep of the community center.
  • A Community Library and Internet Terminal
A public internet terminal will be available to patrons, as well as a community-managed library.
